What is SMCSAP?
“SMCSAP” is an acronym for Slaton’s Manor Community Supporting Agriculture Program. SMCSAP allows Subscribers to fill a standard box of vegetables, on a particular day each week, with some degree of personal choice. There are picked baskets of vegetables and herbs for Subscribers to choose from. The majority of these veggies and herbs will be grown from our greenhouse or mini farm.
SMCSAP: Subscribers will be issued a weekly basket of vegetables. The weekly vegetable list is always available on the secret Facebook page for Subscribers to see. Paid Subscribers may also make suggestions as to what produce they would like for the farm to grow.
Between the months of November and January of each year, your seeds suggestions are a part of our seed purchases for the next SMCSAP growing season.
What else do we offer?
We often allow shares of fresh eggs, fruit, flowers, trees, and sometimes sales of animals, if available.
This is a separate cost from the SMCSAP program.
There will be signs throughout the market stating what will be available each week outside of the SMCSAP arrangement, as well as what is part of those arrangements.
SMCSAP believes in a great sense of community and hard work, and will do its best to provide for the community as a whole.
Our goal is to provide a satisfactory product to Subscribers to the best of our ability.
